Why can't I sleep?

Right now it is exactly 2:44am and I cannot sleep. My poor hubby is coughing and having some other cold related issues that causes him to roll around and be up and down. This keeps bringing him to the question of, "Why are you up?" Frankly, my dear, I have no stinkin clue. I had a rough day at work, I was super tired and ready to go to bed, I took my meds, crashed and now here we are 4 hours later. Awake. Eye twitching...again....still. Maybe more snuggling over some sleepy time tea and a movie, regardless of the hour would be helpful to my mind. *sigh* One good thing at being up at this hour....I got to talk to my in-laws that are half a world away! Their nighttime is my day time and vice versa. That was nice. :-) Even if it was only over IM, just for a moment.

Sick hubbies and good tea

Hubby seems to be getting a cold an I offered to make him some tea that my lovely friend Niki bought me to help me get to sleep. I made it up for him all sweet and yummy and took it in. Then we had to take pictures to show our friend how much we liked our gift!!!!! Look Niki....we love it! Thanks again for being a great friend!

Kids make me laugh!

This is Mandy's son Corben. Mandy, Niki and me were chatting on MSN last night and Mandy told us that Corben was running around with a coffee bucket on his head. I demanded a picture. I nearly peed myself after crying from laughing so hard at this....

Mandy....Corben is awesome for a cheap laugh! Thanks. :-)

What Christmas means to me.

For some reason, this year, I have been having a hard time getting in the Christmas spirit. I go in waves. Some years I will be all up in it and others I couldn't care if it came and went and left me in the dust. We have done the normal service projects at work making hats and distributing them and that hasn't even gotten me excited. I detest the snow, so I don't think that will have an effect on my Christmas spirit. I have watched uplifting stories on giving and sharing and what it all means to everyone....but still with 5 days left...nothing. This cute little video helped a bit. Thanks for sharing with me hubby. I thought I would share with you all. Puppies being happy makes my day. :-) Enjoy!

And the rest of the trip....

I know I was supposed to get to this while I was up there but I didn't. We had a great time visiting and hanging out! Continuing on with my story.

So after Trader Joe's we went to the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony in Portland. There was sooooo many people there. The tree was supposed to light around 5:30ish. No such luck. It was 6:15 or 6:30 before we saw anything. Luckily Chris got Liz out there in time to see it. She was so anxious all night. This is a cute picture of Chris and Elaina. Chris' back hurt the next day from holding her like this, but we didn't lose her!

So that was Friday. Saturday we went to the nearest town and did a little shopping and then went back to the house for Liz's birthday party with her friends. We played a little Rock Band that night. I am pretty sure I scratched the game. Way to go Angie. :-( Sunday we woke up and Liz opened her gifts from the family. She was so excited to get a teddy bear hamster from her mom. (We picked him up on Saturday while we were in town. Sneaky sneaky!) Then she finally got to open a gift from Grandma Jo that had been sitting there since she left for Asia. Emmilee watched so intently as Liz opened the card. Then she pulled things out of the bag. The first thing she pulled out was a little spiral notebook. Emmilee says, "Liz! Your very own diahreah!" I thought I was gonna bust a gut. This is the youtube video of it....but it is about 4 mins long.

Liz and Emmilee opening gifts

Then we went to a Christmas party that night for kids and families of kids with cancer. It was a lot of fun watching the girls. They got their faces painted and played games and danced. So cute!
Monday, we got up in enough time to see them off to school and we were on the road again. It was sad to leave them. It was so fun to be able to go though. Would do it again in a heartbeat....even though we ran into a bunch of fog on the way home. And Chris got to eat at Popeye's Chicken! Its the shit! There is one on the way to Portland. Will post more pictures later. Enjoy the diahreah video!

We have arrived!

So me and Chris got into Carlton, Oregon about 4pm yesterday. We drove from Boise to here, so it made for not such a long drive overall. There wasn't much weather to run into, luckily, except for some fog. I will have to post some pictures later because due to my dorky-ness....I decided to leave the cord for the camera at home. We had a little detour due to looking for a gas station about 2 miles up a mountain. Once we did find it, it was a little mom and pop grocery store with an old fashion gas pump with the rolling numbers and everything. We didn't realize that it was Thanksgiving Day and everyone would be closing early. All we knew is we needed gas and a place to pee. The freeway told us to exit. It was humorous.

When we got here, we were greeted with nothing but hugs and kisses and lots of "Aunt Angie!" and "Uncle Chris!" It was wonderful. We haven't seen these guys in about 10 months. Chris' sister Erin prepared a wonderfully tasty turkey dinner with all the fixin's to eat when we arrived. It was great to have a real dinner and not gas station food.

After dinner we were all just sitting around hanging out, wondering what to do and we decided to give Liz her birthday gift early. Since it wasn't wrapped, Chris put it in the kitchen and asked Liz to get something in the kitchen for him. When she went in there, all you heard was a high pitched shriek. She brought her Hannah Montana dance mat and wig in to show us all and that is what we listened to for the rest of the night. All the girls danced and sang to "The Best of Both Worlds" and now I have it stuck in my head.

We got up today and hung out for a while...had some leftovers (tasty!) and watched the girls play some Wii. Then we went to Trader Joes in hopes they might have my favorite chai tea ever.....but I will continue tomorrow cause I am tired. Night!

Thanksgiving Trip!

Tomorrow we are off on an adventure! Me and hubby are so excited to be going to Carlton, Oregon to be seeing his sister and her family....these guys...

These are The Jordan's
. Top left it is Elaina, Nick and Erin and bottom is Emmilee and Elizabeth. We are so excited to be going on this trip to see them. It is all brought to you by the new car and the cheap gas prices! (See what I did there? I could have said brought to you by the letter Q or something) We are making it up there in time for Liz's birthday. All of this is just sooooo exciting. We haven't seen them in so long....almost a year when Chris' brother was here from Indonesia. This will be a much needed visit. I am sure I will be back with many stories and many pictures so be prepared for lots of "Oooohs" and "Awwws" ready for me!

Kittehs+Roombas=Super fantastic awesome!!!

Did you ever find something on the internet so funny you could watch it over and over and still think it is absolutely hilarious? Today has been one of those days for me. I think I could youtube this all day long and still snort and laugh and smile inside. Oh, and make me purchase something really expensive. The end of the video is my favorite part when he is just glides off into the sunset. See you later little kitty.

P.S. Sorry if you are getting sick of the kitty posts. You will find a lot of them here. They kind of run my life. I have four of them.

Nothing to say :-(

For the last few days, I have been trying to come up with something fun and exciting and cool and awesome to post about. Well, nothing comes to mind. How do people do this blogging thing. Who comes up with creative topics and interesting posts? Tell me! I need some inspiration. For now....you just get my cat...in a hat....dressed up for Halloween. Doesn't he look pissed off? I love it! I made him an official icanhascheezburger cat. Maybe he will make it onto the site.

Right now I am sitting at work, trying so hard to be productive and failing miserably. Yes, I am feeling an epic fail coming on here. An epic work fail. Ahh...the wonderfulness of internet sensations. The epic fail, the cheezburger/lolcat, blogging, twitter. What more does a person need to keep entertained at work. Thats right! www.cuteoverload.com and facebook! Guess I better work more before I really do become an epic fail and get epically fired.

Wanna be annoyed?

Too late. You are going to be anyways. This has been stuck in my head for weeks. Friends get it re-stuck in there after it is un-stuck. So, here. Annoy yourself, then pass it to your friends and then annoy the holy snot out of each other. It is great fun....I promise!

My very first blog EVAR!

Look what I can do! Yes, I do feel a little like Stuart right now. This is my first blog that is NOT on myspace. I think I mostly did it to keep track of my friends and blogs that I like to watch on here. Maybe I can make a blog of my own that will someday be nominated for some sort of awesome award.....or not. Watch out. There are going to be a lot of kitties on here too. Probably a lot of work stories, hubby antics, weight frustrations (as that is what I am struggling with right now for all the RIGHT reasons), and all kinds of misc. things. Maybe even some fun friends pictures. Oh and some family ones too. I hope to someday compare to Jenny Heffler. :-) Yes, Jenny I know I spelled your name wrong. Or even Niki Brooks....I might have to steal her awesome camera to be that super cool. If I had that camera though....all you guys would see is cats, kittehs, and more kitties. Well, off to work and build a profile!
